In Spring 1998 Alex realizes that they need a larger more powerful gunboat to carry out the hijacking of large freighters. They need more and larger boats for the business. Chouma finally thinks she is pregnant and they are very happy. Then they get notice from  the Frenchman that he has found out they robbed him. He raids their camp including the bungalow and shoots everything up including killing Chouma, and others. Alex vows revenge and leads an armada against the Frenchman, destroying his operation and killing him and his top people. Finally Alex leaves to sort things out.
